Garden District

The Garden District provides rich history of New Orleans from the early 1800's.  Prior to being named the Garden District the area consisted of plantations that were sold to wealthy American's who wanted to live separately from Creoles.  In 1852 the area was finally named part of New Orleans and eventually more homes were added.
